Did you know 80% of the water we use in LA is imported? Costs are going up while supply is in flux. But there’s good news: small changes can make a big difference!
Yesterday, how much water did your household use? Your LADWP bill doesn’t help you watch day-to-day water consumption. But now there’s Flume! You can check a phone app to see real-time water use. Normally $199 retail, you can purchase this easy-to-install water monitoring system through LADWP for just $24! You purchase for $49 at check-out, and LADWP will issue an automatic refund of $25 once your Flume is installed.

Removing lawn is one of the most water-conscious things an LA resident can do. To qualify for the rebate, the new garden plan must include: 3 plants per 100 sq ft of transformed area, a storm water retention feature, no hardscape in the plan, replacement or modification of overhead sprayers.
Rebates start at $40 per toilet. New models used 20% less water per flush. (Purchased model must match LADWP approved list.)
Newer technology controls landscape watering based on weather conditions. Rebate is $80 per controller for lots smaller than 1 acre. (Purchased model must match approved list.)
Rotating more slowly means better water penetration into the soil, and a 20% lower water use overall. Rebate is $2/nozzle on a minimum purchase of 15 nozzles. (Purchased model must match approved list.)
Collect rainwater and reuse in your garden. Rebates at $35 per barrel or $250-$350 per cistern (depending on # of gallons capacity.) (Purchased model must match LADWP approved list.)
